Deval Interlocking

 
In 2006, CREATE completed replacement of the Deval Interlocking in Des Plaines, Illinois.  This interlocking is located where several rail lines cross and is managed by a Union Pacific operator located at another location in Chicago.  With the technology improvements in the completely rebuilt interlocking machine, the operator can now remotely view the entire interlocking area on a computer screen for improved operations.
