1-18-08 Public Meeting on P1 Project Documents Topic: CREATE project P-1 near 63rd and State Streets, which is proposed to expand the railroad system capacity, improve railroad operations, reduce train delays and congestion, thereby improving air quality, and increase safety. The proposed plan does not require permanent property acquisition or relocation of businesses. Temporary construction access easements may be required during construction. Two viaducts (60th and 66th streets) are recommended for closure. Drainage improvements for the 61st Street viaduct will be included.
