The CREATE Program, a first-of-its-kind public-private partnership improving Chicago’s rail and roadway network through 70 interrelated infrastructure projects, achieved many milestones in 2024. By addressing bottlenecks, increasing efficiency, and enhancing connectivity, CREATE is strengthening the nation’s supply chain and improving both freight and passenger transportation.
This nationally recognized effort received a major boost in 2024 with a $291 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Multimodal Project Discretionary Grant program for the 75th Street Corridor Improvement Project (CIP). Building on this momentum, CREATE partners remain committed to delivering impactful projects in 2025 that benefit both the region and the nation.
